Today is March 30, 2025. The much-awaited movie Sikandar released in theaters worldwide. Salman Khan fans are excited. This film is special because it came out on Eid al-Fitr. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Sikandar is an action thriller. It has big stars like Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. I watched it. Here is my review in simple words for Indian beginners.
Sikandar is a story about a strong man. His name is Sanjay Rajkot. People call him Sikandar. He lives in Rajkot, Gujarat. Salman Khan plays this role. Sanjay fights bad people. He wants to help common people. There is a lot of corruption in his world. He stands up against it. The story also has emotion. Sanjay’s wife, Saisri, helps him become a better person. Rashmika Mandanna plays Saisri. She is a painter. Their love adds heart to the movie.
The movie starts with action. Salman Khan enters with a bang. His style is big and bold. Fans will love his entry. He wears cool clothes. His dialogues are strong. One line I liked was sharp and full of attitude. The first 30 minutes are exciting. You feel the energy. But then, the story slows down. It becomes a little boring. I wanted more fun moments. The screenplay feels old sometimes. It is not fresh.
The action scenes are a big part of *Sikandar*. They are loud and fast. Salman Khan fights with power. He uses guns and his hands. One fight on a train is thrilling. There are 350 people in that scene. It looks grand. Another scene has planes and a prison set. The team spent a lot of money—200 crores! You can see it on the screen. The camera work is good too. The colors and shots are bright. But some fights feel too long. I got tired watching them.
Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine. She is pretty and strong. Her acting is nice. She has good scenes with Salman. Their love story is sweet. But it is not very deep. I wanted more of her character. Other actors are there too. Kajal Aggarwal plays a small role. Sharman Joshi is in the background. Sathyaraj is a minister named Pradhan. He is the villain. His acting is okay, but his part is not strong. Prateik Babbar fights Salman. Their scene is good but short.
The music is by Pritam. The songs are fun. “Zohra Jabeen” is soft and lovely. “Bam Bam Bhole” has energy. “Sikandar Naache” makes you want to dance. The background music is by Santhosh Narayanan. It is loud. Sometimes, it feels out of place. I think softer music would be better in some parts.
The movie is 2 hours and 20 minutes long. The first half is 1 hour and 15 minutes. It is decent. The second half is 1 hour and 5 minutes. It feels rushed. The story tries to say something big. It talks about helping poor people. But it does not explain well. Many scenes look like other movies. I have seen them before. This makes Sikandar less special.
Salman Khan is the star. He looks big and strong. His fans will cheer for him. He does action well. He also cries in one scene. It shows he can act. But sometimes, he looks tired. His energy is not the same as old films. Still, he holds the movie together. Without him, it would not work.
The ending is okay. There is a twist. It surprised me a little. But it was not very smart. I expected more. The film tries to mix action, emotion, and drama. It does not fully succeed. Some people in the theater clapped. Others were quiet. I think fans will like it. New viewers may not.
Sikandar is a big movie. It has style and power. Salman Khan shines in parts. The action is loud. The songs are catchy. But the story is weak. It feels old and slow. I wanted more excitement. It is not bad. It is not great either. For Salman fans, it is a treat. For others, it is just okay.
I give Sikandar 2.5 stars out of 5. It is a simple mass film. Watch it if you love Salman Khan. If you want a new story, you might wait for something else. The movie is in theaters now. It also has IMAX shows. Go with friends and enjoy the big screen. Happy Eid to everyone!
